Our speakers cover the full spectrum of mystery writing–authors, editors, book designers, publishers, attorneys, law enforcement officers, marketing experts, sociologists, forensic technicians, scientists–the list goes on.
HoTSinC meets the 2nd Sunday of each month, holidays permitting.

Book Festivals
Whether it's in Boerne or Waco or the big one, The Texas Book Festival, HoTSinC is there! We rent a booth and sell our author's books, 'cuz we want everyone to know what great writers we have as members. Lots of fun and lots of marketing opportunities!

Co-Chapter Events
One of the best aspects of belonging to SinC is the opportunity to work with and learn from other chapters across the country. Featured here is the Fall 2021 Workshop put on by the Austin, Dallas and Houston Chapters.
The resources provided by SinC run deep and HoTSinC members are always ready to get involved!

Our Members Only
Marketing Happy Hour
Besides our monthly meeting, our Marketing Happy Hour is our most popular offering. Here our members (only) get into the nitty gritty of marketing: book launches, Amazon and Facebook Ads, Cover Design, Book Promos, Websites--if it sells our books, we talk about it! This is a Zoom meeting which meets the first Thursday of every month at 4:00.
Conventions
and Workshops
Our Members love to attend the many crime writing/reading conventions across the country. Besides our chapter breakfasts and happy hours that we arrange, SinC National also hosts opportunities to get together and network. These conventions offer a plethora of seminars, workshops to learn the craft of writing mysteries as well as the opportunity to meet our readers! It can be intimidating to attend the events solo, but Sisters in Crime always provides that community that will help you get the most out of your visit!
